Malcolm Hill is a New York-based artist specializing in site-specific murals and sculptural mixed media installations. Born and raised in Texas, he studied drawing and sculpture at the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Guadalajara in Mexico. He was Artist in Residence at Barneys New York for twelve years, creating murals, canvases and sculptures for all its locations in the United States and Japan. Hill's far-reaching projects have ranged from creating a large mural at the entrance of Nobu Berkeley Square in London, to a coral-stone and concrete grotto for a client in the Dominican Republic, and from the ceiling of a Broadway theatre in New York, to residential murals and installations in Los Angeles. His studio in the mountains of Montana provides a respite from the fast pace of work in New York, and a place to develop non-commissioned artwork.
